Danielle N. Malaty is a partner at Goldberg Segalla, practicing out of the Chicago office.147 She is an accomplished trial and appellate attorney.1234 Danielle focuses her practice on counseling and defending a broad range of businesses, public entities, insurers, and professionals in all aspects of employment and labor matters, including claims alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other workplace misconduct.1234 She also represents lawyers, directors, and officers in professional liability claims.24
Malaty joined Goldberg Segalla's Employment and Labor group in Chicago.36 She has litigation experience with premises liability, product liability, professional liability, community association law, and subrogation.13 Danielle has defended clients in both state and federal courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.13
Danielle N. Malaty was appointed chair of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section Self-Insurers and Risk Managers Committee (SIRM).2 She had previously served as the vice chair of the SIRM Committee for six years.2 Along with the newly appointed TIPS committee chairs, Danielle also serves on the TIPS Standing Committee, acting as a liaison to the numerous committees within TIPS.2
In April 2023, Danielle N. Malaty was selected as a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), an exclusive, invitation-only international organization of civil defense attorneys.1
Malaty authored an article regarding the Federal Trade Commission’s ban on noncompetes, entitled “An Overview of the Rapidly Changing Legal Landscape Following the FTC’s Noncompete Ban,” which was published in "The Brief," an American Bar Association publication.45
