Daniel Sullivan
President and Founder of Sullivan Solar Power
Daniel Sullivan is the founder and former President of Sullivan Solar Power, a company he started in May 2004 in the Greater San Diego Area, Orange County, and Riverside County.1 He built the company to $55 million in revenue by 2015 and continued to run it through 2019.1 Sullivan left the company in the hands of a management team in 2020, and the company ceased operations in 2021.1
Prior to founding Sullivan Solar Power, Daniel worked as:
- An instructor at the San Diego Electrical Training Center (September 2005 - January 2009), where he taught photovoltaic design and installation to IBEW electricians.1
- A foreman in the Industrial Group at Neal Electric (January 2002 - May 2004).1
- A journeyman electrician at Dynalectric (April 2003 - April 2004).1
Under Sullivan's leadership, Sullivan Solar Power installed more than 8,000 solar power systems across Southern California.2 The company was recognized as one of only six NABCEP Accredited companies in the United States, demonstrating its commitment to high standards in installation quality, staff education, and customer accountability.2
Daniel Sullivan was also known for his commitment to educating the public about solar energy. He frequently spoke at events and seminars to provide information about solar power options and technology.4 Sullivan was recognized as a finalist for San Diego Business Journal's CEO of the Year for seven consecutive years, with the last mention being in 2019.3
