Daniel Schlessinger

Dr. Daniel Schlessinger is a board-certified dermatologist, Mohs surgeon, and cosmetic surgeon at SchlessingerMD in Omaha, Nebraska.12 He is an Omaha native who specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology, bringing innovative techniques and a patient-centered approach to his practice.2
Dr. Schlessinger completed his education at Northwestern University, where he participated in the prestigious Honor's Program in Medical Education and earned his medical degree from the Feinberg School of Medicine.2 He then completed a Preliminary-Medicine internship at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a dermatology residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital / Washington University in St. Louis, where he served as Chief Resident.2 He further specialized by completing a dual-accredited fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatologic surgery at Northwestern University.2
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Schlessinger is active in academic research, product development, and medical writing. Dr. Schlessinger is involved in various professional activities, including serving on the American Academy of Dermatology's Augmented Intelligence Committee and as a regular commentary author for the AAD's Dialogues in Dermatology podcast series.2 Starting in 2025, he will also serve as adjunct faculty in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.3
