Daniel Louis is the Owner and Managing Partner at Diamond Louis, PLLC, a law firm specializing in Defense Base Act litigation. He took over the firm following the passing of his colleague and friend, John-Austin Diamond, in August 2022. Daniel's mission is to continue John-Austin's legacy of representing injured workers and advocating for their rights.12
With over 14 years of experience, Daniel has a robust background in litigating Defense Base Act claims across all levels of the U.S. Department of Labor. Before joining Diamond Louis, he was a partner at a prominent New York law firm where he represented major employers and insurance carriers involved in Defense Base Act cases. His extensive experience includes handling hundreds of cases before various legal bodies, including the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs and the Office of Administrative Law Judges.1
Daniel holds a Magna Cum Laude degree from Albright College and graduated from Rutgers University School of Law in 2008. During his time at law school, he engaged in various internships, including roles at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He also contributed to pro bono efforts following Hurricane Katrina.13 Daniel is licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.1
