Daniel Law is the Head of Cyber Practice at HSB - Hartford Steam Boiler, a position he assumed in June 2024.13 Prior to joining HSB, Law spent nearly four years at Cowbell, a cyber InsurTech company, where he served as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).14

In his role at HSB, Law is responsible for leading the company's cyber practice, bringing his extensive knowledge and experience to their cyber business.3 His appointment comes at a time when HSB is expanding its cyber insurance offerings, as evidenced by the recent launch of HSB CyberPro™, a comprehensive cyber insurance solution for small and medium-sized businesses.2

Law's expertise in the cyber insurance sector is significant. He has noted that HSB has been writing cyber insurance in the primary market since 2016 and has been a partner behind some of the most successful cyber insurance products for nearly 20 years.2 This background positions him well to lead HSB's efforts in meeting the evolving cybersecurity needs of businesses.

As the Head of Cyber Practice, Law is involved in developing and promoting cyber insurance solutions that address the rapidly changing landscape of regulatory, legal, and technological cyber risks.2 He has also been vocal about the need for small and medium enterprise businesses to adopt cyber protection, noting that many of these businesses have been slow to incorporate cyber coverage into their insurance portfolios.56
