Daniel Knoop is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in conservation, agriculture, and enterprise development. His journey began with volunteering for a conservation project in Nigeria and continued with educational pursuits, including studying Natural Resources Management at Wageningen University. Daniel's experience spans working for various organizations, including the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation and Solidaridad Network, where he held roles like Senior Advisor and International Programme Coordinator. He has also been involved in projects like building a pilot cassava flour factory in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In addition to his professional endeavors, Daniel is actively engaged in rewilding initiatives through his company Waldlaif.
