Daniel Kinzer, a Biomimicry Professional with Biomimicry 3.8 and a Masters of Science degree holder in biomimicry, is an explorer, conservationist, and an innovator driven by wonder, adventure, and impact. His journey to Hawaii is inspired by the Polynesian Voyaging Society and the traditional Polynesian wa'a, where he became captivated by the natural world, particularly the ocean and its interconnection to human culture and consciousness. A globetrotter, Daniel has lived, worked and learned in over 70 countries on all seven continents. His educational background consists of several degrees from Vanderbilt University, Arizona State University, Endicott College, and Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Daniel's professional experience includes being a Founder and Co-pilot at Pacific Blue Studios, a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow at National Geographic, Director of Luke Center for Public Service at Punahou School, and a Biomimicry Professional (BPro) Cohort V at Biomimicry 3.8. He has also been a Program Designer and Facilitator at Purple Maiʻa Foundation, Affiliate Consultant at Eliad Group, and Director of Experiential Learning at Chinese International School. His interests are in biomimicry, marine ecology, education, exploration, and innovative solutions to climate change and ocean-related challenges.
