Daniel Goldstein

Dr. Daniel Goldstein, MD, is a highly experienced academic clinician specializing in adult cardiac disease, particularly advanced heart failure management like high-risk conventional surgery, mechanical support, and cardiac transplantation.

As a site Principal Investigator (PI) for numerous clinical trials, Dr. Goldstein has led groundbreaking studies in LVAD therapies, notably as the National PI for the MOMENTUM3 trial, the largest LVAD trial to date.

He has served as a Board Member of ISHLT and Chair of IMACS, the world's largest durable LVAD Registry. Dr. Goldstein is a respected author, with over 180 articles and 3 books to his name, and an educator and Surgical Proctor for Abbott Inc. in addition to being a consultant and speaker.

Aside from his medical endeavors, Dr. Goldstein is also recognized as an amateur pianist and magician, showcasing a diverse set of talents and interests.

He completed his education in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Currently, Dr. Goldstein holds the position of Professor and Vice Chairman at Montefiore Health System, having previously served as the Surgical Director of Cardiac Transplantation and Mechanical Assistance Programs at the same institution.
