    Daniel Goetzel is currently the Program Director in the newly-created Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships Directorate at the National Science Foundation, where he splits his time between the U.S. Department of Commerce and NSF focusing on the CHIPS Act deal structuring, strategy, and implementation. He is actively involved in launching new programs to seed groundbreaking technologies, broaden the geography of innovation, and stimulate economic development.

    In the past, Daniel has worked as an innovation ecosystem builder and startup accelerator operator at prestigious institutions such as Columbia and Johns Hopkins Universities. One of his notable roles includes serving as the Executive Director of Inventors to Founders @Cyber NYC, a significant $100 million public-private partnership concentrated on enhancing entrepreneurial ecosystems in New York and forging corporate partnerships across Columbia University and Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

    Daniel Goetzel's educational background includes studying a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Harvard Kennedy School, a B.A. in Political Science and Government, and History at Emory University, and his high school education at Winston Churchill High School.

    Throughout his career, Daniel has held various impactful roles at renowned organizations like the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Commerce, Columbia University, and Harvard Kennedy School.
