Daniel Freire e Almeida is an accomplished lawyer and researcher with expertise in international law, international relations, economic law, space law, and internet law. He holds a Doctor of Laws degree in International Law from the University of Coimbra in Portugal, where he also completed a Master of Laws degree in European Union Law. Dr. Freire e Almeida went on to pursue post-doctoral research as a visiting researcher at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC, where he remains a senior fellow at the Institute of International Economic Law.

As a professor of international law, international relations, internet law, and economic law, Dr. Freire e Almeida shares his extensive knowledge with students at Catholic University of Santos. He has published numerous articles and books on his areas of expertise, including “An International Tribunal for the Internet” and “The Taxation of Electronic Commerce in The United States of America and in The European Union.”

Dr. Freire e Almeida’s research focuses on global government relations, legal and corporate affairs, policy challenges for internet users, and the global regulation of the internet. He is dedicated to contributing to the future of the internet and exploring cybersecurity issues, international public policy, and the taxation of electronic commerce.
