Daniel Dake, a proactive individual from Lagos, Nigeria, recognized the challenges faced by many young Nigerians who cannot afford education and vocational training, leading them to potential pitfalls like crime and drugs.

Having benefitted from free graphic design training and mentorship in his community, Daniel founded Teens for Change in January 2016 to provide underprivileged youth with similar opportunities for a brighter future.

Teens for Change has positively impacted over 2,500 young Nigerians in Lagos by offering free education, vocational training, leadership seminars, and workshops, enabling 150 students to complete secondary education and 100 students to pursue higher education.

Recognized for his dedication, Daniel was named a Sozo Youth in Development Boot Camp Fellow in 2019, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria. He is actively involved in educating students on grassroots movements and fostering leadership skills within communities.

With a vision for the future, Daniel aims to collaborate with the government to incorporate vocational training into the educational system and establish Teens for Change centers across all Nigerian states. His upcoming participation in the Just Peace Summit in New York will bring him together with like-minded changemakers from around the world.
