Daniel Colbert

Daniel Colbert, a lead in a US/Russia binational cleantech venture fund - North Energy Ventures, along with running Colbert Venture Consulting for cleantech and material startups, brings a breadth of technical experience in materials, chemistry, physics, nanotechnology, and cleantech. Colbert's education includes a postdoctoral degree in Theoretical Chemistry from University of California, Berkeley, a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a B.A. in Chemistry from Cornell University.

Colbert has held numerous executive positions in companies like Wermuth Asset Management, Xolve, Inc., BioJet Corp., NGEN Partners, and Carbon Nanotechnologies, Inc. He has been a faculty fellow at Rice University, a former executive director of the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology at Rice University, and a member of the Rice University Patent Committee.
