Daniel Burnette is a seasoned web application developer with six years of industry experience. He has recently transitioned into an independent developer, dedicating his efforts to creating a comprehensive application called The Scientific Meal Planner, aimed at promoting healthy eating based on scientific insights.
During his time at Watershed 5, Daniel served as the sole web developer, managing a wide range of projects from javascript-heavy marketing websites to custom WordPress plugins and Rails applications, while also spearheading the development of the MVP for Splashmetrics, a marketing planning platform.
Daniel's academic journey began at the University of Iowa, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology, specializing in Genetics and Biotechnology, and also minored in Computer Science. Subsequently, he enhanced his coding skills by completing the MakersSquare accelerated learning program, now known as Hack Reactor, which laid the foundation for his successful web development career.
He has also held positions as a Research Assistant at the Engelhardt Gene Therapy Research Laboratory. Daniel's unique blend of biological knowledge and programming expertise enables him to create innovative solutions in the web development domain.
