Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser

Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser is a highly accomplished musician and conductor who has made significant contributions to the classical music world. He holds a Master's degree in Conducting and Philosophy from the Royal Northern College of Music and a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Calgary. Throughout his career, Bartholomew-Poyser has served in various capacities, including as the former Assistant Conductor at Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, former Resident Conductor at Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, and former Director of All-City Wind Ensemble at the University of Calgary.

His passion for music has been evident from a young age. Bartholomew-Poyser attended Marion Carson Elementary where he received a strong foundation in music. His expertise has been recognized by numerous organizations throughout his career, demonstrating his exceptional knowledge and experience in conducting. He has worked with different orchestras and conducted performances across Canada, Europe, and the United States.

In his role at Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Bartholomew-Poyser assisted the conductor during performances and rehearsals, and also led multiple educational outreach programs throughout the region. As the Director of All-City Wind Ensemble at the University of Calgary, he worked closely with students and faculty to enhance the program's curriculum and provide opportunities for showcasing the talent of the students.
