Daniel Bareket is the Co-Founder and CEO of Panda Chocolate, a vegan chocolate company that has gained recognition for its innovative dairy-free products. He grew up in Harduf, Israel, and transitioned to a vegan lifestyle after his military service, which inspired him to create vegan chocolate with his partner, Elya Adi. Their journey began as a culinary experiment during a date, leading them to develop a successful product after extensive research and experimentation.1
Under Bareket's leadership, Panda Chocolate has achieved significant milestones, including a highly successful crowdfunding campaign that raised seven times its initial goal, enabling the establishment of their first factory in Jerusalem in 2016. The company focuses on producing a variety of flavors while maintaining ethical sourcing and sustainable practices, including Fair Trade cocoa procurement.13
In addition to his role at Panda Chocolate, Bareket has a background in social sciences and philosophy from The Open University of Israel and has been involved in various entrepreneurial endeavors, including Wize, an organization that organizes lectures in pubs across Israel.2
