Highlights
(Speculating) a few interesting headwinds for marriage and having kids:
- Declining cultural norm because less religious participation.
- Housing is more expensive because wealthy NIMBY boomers are aging in place.
- Women are more educated and have higher standards for partners.
Challenging set of circumstances. I think we’ve also had a couple of economic shocks that made things temporarily worse, but these are the long-term trends.
When you sit and think about it, it's amazing how much of the internet economy is dependent on hijacking the amygdala.
