I began as a server on the Opening Team of our brand new Pappadeaux Downtown location in George R. Brown Convention Center. I transferred concepts and learned a new menu, which consisted over 50+ new menu items as well as a larger wine selection and cocktails. I was promoted to a Trainer 4 months after our Grand Opening and promoted to Head Waiter the following month. I was also promoted to Banquet Server, in which we host all kinds of events for both locals and high profile guests. As the Head Waiter, I am responsible for handling all money coming into the restaurant, distributing money to servers, and turning in remaining money at the end of my shifts. These amounts can be from anywhere from $1,000-$9,000 on any given shift. My Trainer duties involved taking all new hires and slowly mixing them into our team by working with them shoulder to shoulder and shadowing new hires during their training process. Overall, I provide guests with an excellent dining experience. I feature items on a nightly basis and make sure to give attentive service. Anticipating guests needs and responding positively to any guests’ request. My goal is to give all of our guests the best dining experience possible.
