Danaë Metaxa

Danaë Metaxa is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania in Computer and Information Science, with a secondary appointment at the Annenberg School for Communication. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Brown University.

Prior to her current role, Danaë has a rich professional history, having served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University, Data Scientist at Facebook, PhD Candidate in Computer Science at Stanford University, Software Engineering Intern at MetaMind, and Research Assistant at Stanford University Computer Science Department.

Additionally, she has also worked as a Summer Intern at Stanford University Center for the Study of Language and Information (CSLI) and held various positions at Brown University, including Research Assistant, Head Teaching Assistant, and Teaching Assistant. Danaë also contributed to Smith College as a Visiting Student in Fall 2013 and interned at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University as a Youth & Media Lab Intern.
