Dana Ball
Executive Director at Three Lakes Foundation
Dana Ball is a seasoned nonprofit executive with over 30 years of experience as an innovative leader, collaborator, and patient advocate. With a strong focus on type 1 diabetes (T1D), Dana has a proven track record of developing high-impact programs that improve care and accelerate therapies.
As the CEO of T1D Exchange, Dana established a patient-centered organization dedicated to enhancing care and expediting the availability of new therapies. Dana is currently dedicated to raising awareness of Pulmonary Fibrosis and enhancing the speed of diagnosis and access to treatments in this area.
With a background as the co-founder of T1D Exchange, Dana has spearheaded efforts to facilitate quicker research and development processes, drive the progress of emerging therapies, and enhance patient outcomes in T1D.
Prior to leading T1D Exchange, Dana served as a Program Director for the T1D program at The Helmsley Charitable Trust, where he played a crucial role in strategic planning and grant-making initiatives focusing on medical device technology, cellular therapies, and patient outreach.
Having been the Executive Director of The Iacocca Foundation, Dana managed philanthropic activities and T1D investments, successfully launching fundraising campaigns to advance beta cell regeneration and support research programs in T1D.
Educationally, Dana studied Business Administration at the University of Southern Maine.
