Dan Webber is a seasoned technology executive who has spent over 24 years advising private and public enterprises around the world in the areas of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, innovation, design, analytics, advanced computing, and digital services. Notably, he has worked for 13 years in healthcare and biotech, where he served as Chief Information Officer, Security Officer, and Technology Officer. In addition, Dan has a strong background in manufacturing, technology, and hospitality companies.
Dan has successfully led the integration of technology and business processes for 56 acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers, while also evaluating another 150. In particular, while serving as Chief Information Officer at Bayer Visible Genetics, Dan designed, implemented, and envisioned the workflow process for the first FDA approved DNA-based sequencing system. Additionally, his pharmacogenomic systems supported drug discovery and research activities in the areas of HIV, HCV, HBV, and multiple areas of cancer.
Furthermore, Dan has designed and program-managed system infrastructures that support over 5,000 locations worldwide, including mobile technology, fleet management, and web-based linen management. These systems are currently in use in over 200 hospitals across the US. In his free time, Dan is an active blogger, thought leader, speaker, and is involved in several community groups.
Dan is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He studied at Bob Jones University, the University of Kentucky, Calvary Baptist Academy, and Lexington Christian Academy.
