Dan Smith, with over 25 years of experience in the CAD/CAM/PLM industry, is a well-recognized figure in the engineering and business management community. Currently serving as the President and CTO of Inceptra, Dan is responsible for driving the company's PLM strategy and helping its strategic clients implement new software solutions and services.

Dan began his career at RAND Worldwide in 1988, where he spearheaded the company's engineering team. His dedication and hard work took the team from a handful of people to over 400 engineers, laying the foundation for the company's eventual rise to become a leading provider of engineering services solutions. Dan also founded a new division of RAND in 2000, and this division was subsequently spun out in 2010 as Inceptra - a standalone company focusing on PLM solutions.

Throughout his career, Dan has held several senior management positions in engineering, sales, and marketing, managing divisions of the company in North America, Asia, and Europe. He has helped Inceptra gain valuable strategic clients and partnerships, leading the company towards sustained growth and success.

Dan's educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Systems Design Engineering from the prestigious University of Waterloo. Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
