Dan Schoenbrun is a seasoned film professional with extensive experience across a wide range of roles and organizations. He studied at Boston University and subsequently held positions at prominent companies such as Kickstarter, Filmmaker Magazine, and Andrew Lauren Productions, amongst others.
Schoenbrun started his career in the entertainment industry as an intern at Raindance Film Festival and Viacom before moving on to larger roles, including Associate Director of Programming at Independent Feature Project, where he curated film festivals and provided support to independent filmmakers. Notably, he also worked as the Associate Editor at Filmmaker Magazine, helping to shape the publication's editorial direction and providing guidance to aspiring filmmakers.
Schoenbrun's expertise extends to script reading, production, and film outreach, thanks to his experience as a Development Intern at Big Beach Films, Production Intern at Vh1, and currently as Senior Film Outreach Lead at Kickstarter. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to supporting the independent film community and developing new talent.
