Dan Ronald is a seasoned product leader with expertise in edge to cloud technologies. He has a strong background in developing embedded edge devices, connectivity solutions, and cloud applications. With a track record of taking complex products from concept to launch, Dan has experience working in both early-stage start-ups and large corporations.

His areas of expertise include product management, encompassing roadmaps, strategy, business case development, and new product introductions. Additionally, he has deep knowledge in engineering, covering software, hardware, embedded systems, cloud technology, networking, and semiconductors. Dan excels in team leadership, with skills in hiring, mentoring, and agile project management. He is also well-versed in startup environments, including early stage financing, MVP products, communicating vision, and business development.

Dan Ronald possesses domain knowledge in IoT, smart buildings, building automation systems, and security. He also has expertise in SDN, L2 & L3 networking, and Optical Transport Network (OTN). Moreover, Dan has in-depth knowledge of the semiconductor industry.

Dan pursued his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at The University of Calgary. Throughout his career, he has held various key positions, including Senior Product Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Co-Founder, CTO & VP Product at Optigo Networks, and roles at PMC-Sierra (now Microsemi) as Staff Product Design Engineer and Senior Physical Design Engineer. Additionally, Dan has experience as a Space Robotics Engineer during an internship at MDA.
