Dan Negrut

Dan Negrut is a highly accomplished professional specializing in Simulation in Robotics, Autonomous Vehicle Modeling and Simulation, High Performance Computing in Engineering and Science, Multi-physics Computer Modeling and Simulation, Computational Multibody Dynamics, and Sensor simulation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Institutul Politehnic Bucuresti, Romania, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa. Dan Negrut is currently the Bernard A. and Frances M. Weideman Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has previously held positions as an Affiliate Professor at the Department of Computer Science at UW-Madison, a Technical Lead at UW-Madison Simulation Based Engineering Lab (SBEL), the Director at Wisconsin Applied Computing Center, a Visiting Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory, and as a Product Development Engineer at MSC.Software and Mechanical Dynamics, Inc.
