Dan Joergensen

Dan Joergensen is a prominent Danish politician who currently serves as the Minister for Climate, Energy, and Utilities in the Danish government. He was born on June 12, 1975, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Joergensen obtained a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Copenhagen, where he later served as an associate professor.

Before entering politics, Joergensen worked as a journalist, editor, and author. He served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 2004 to 2014, where he worked on environmental and international development issues. Joergensen was also a member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health, and Food Safety in the European Parliament.

In June 2019, Joergensen was appointed as the Minister for Climate, Energy, and Utilities in the Danish government, tasked with developing and implementing Denmark's ambitious goals for reducing carbon emissions and transitioning to renewable energy sources.
