Damien Vermeer

Damien Vermeer is a leading power engineer in Australia and New Zealand, specializing in designing and connecting various generating systems such as diesel, biogas/NG, solar PV, and BESS. He particularly enjoys working on the design and development of solar farms.

With a strong background in engineering, Damien served as the past chair of Young Engineers Australia Victoria chapter (YEA-V) and has been actively involved in multiple engineering and professional committees. In 2020, he was recognized as the Engineers Australia "Young Electrical Power Engineer of the Year."

Damien Vermeer's educational journey includes completing a Certificate IV in Frontline Management, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical) and Science (Mathematics, Computer Science) with an impressive average mark at Monash University, and attending the IES Lighting Course at RMIT University.

Currently, Damien holds the position of Senior Power Systems Engineer at Middleton Group, building upon his prior roles at reputable organizations like Beca, Monash University, Norman Disney & Young, ExxonMobil, and The University of Melbourne. He is open to discussing generator connections, solar PV system design, personal engineering projects, and committee engagements with interested parties.
