Led digital strategy, innovation and development across the ABC’s local, regional, and national radio networks and its international radio and TV services.  

Managed a portfolio of services attracting 25 million unique visitors per year, approximately half the total audience to ABC Online.

An executive member of the ABC's New Media Division, I produced a range of pioneering digital services, including:

• Australia’s first participatory media initiative, “Australian’s Online” (co-funded with the Australia Council, 1999)
• Australia’s first online documentary, “Charting the Pacific” a multi-layered online narrative focusing on the lives, culture and experiences of Pacific Island nations (co-funded with Film Victoria, 2000)
• Australia’s first multilingual online and podcast services, including highly successful English language learning podcasts, which recorded over 1.2 million downloads per month (2004)

I gained broad industry recognition during the time for my work including:

• AIMIA Awards (2004 and 2005), UN World Summit Awards (2005), Promax Awards (2004), Walkley Awards (1999)
• Journalist scholarship from the Commonwealth Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to study Indonesian language and culture at Sanata Dharma University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia
• Ausaid Pacific Media Initiative contract to design and deliver internet skills training in the Pacific Islands
