Dr. Damiano Rondelli is a distinguished professional in the field of Hematology and Stem Cell Transplantation with an extensive background in academia and research.
Born in Italy, Dr. Rondelli completed his medical degree and Hematology specialization at the University of Bologna before venturing into groundbreaking research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA, where he delved into hematopoietic stem cell transplant immunology.
Over the years, Dr. Rondelli has held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna and Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He currently serves as the Michael Reese Professor of Hematology, Chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology, and Director of Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
