Engaged as the Business Representative working with users and the BA, Development and Testing teams on a major program of work to implement a replacement to a business critical system. The project’s objective was to migrate a campus onto a SaaS system hosted in Australia, including a solution to integrate a source system into the SaaS for regular data transfer. The role included the testing of the integration solution, as well as coaching RMIT on the improvement of their QA practices within the Agile Development team. Responsible for conducting a High Level Risk Assessment for Coles as the basis for writing a Test Strategy, identifying testing skills required and building the test team, and the writing of the test plans.The project was the implementation of a new workforce planning and management core system, accessed by both web and mobile devices. This required close engagement with Stakeholders, Business Representatives and SMEs from across a number of Business Units, the vendor, Solutions Architect, technical teams within the project and those from affected peripheral systems.Achievements:* Delivered a clear, robust and logically derived risk assessment which was used as the basis for a clear and detailed Test Strategy. A short-term engagement advising and assisting Cengage on their approach to QA and testing. Worked with the Stakeholder, vendor, Subject Matter Experts and end users.Achievements:* An inflight project was used to implement improved QA and testing practices allowing for them to be understood, reviewed and refined. As a result the project, which was of significant importance to Cengage, through identifying and addressing a number of new major defects and issues was able to go live with a much more robust and trustworthy solution.Skills snapshot: System Testing, UAT, Stakeholder engagement, process improvement, ecommerce.
