Mark Furletti

Mark J. Furletti is a Deputy Practice Leader of the Consumer Financial Services Group at Ballard Spahr LLP, where he specializes in federal and state consumer lending and payments laws.

His expertise extends to regulatory compliance matters, class action litigation, and government supervisory and enforcement issues, particularly in the banking sector.

Mark Furletti advises on a wide range of financial services, including payment cards, loans, lines of credit, and deposit products, and offers guidance on electronic payments, online banking, and mobile commerce.

He is well-versed in a variety of consumer protection laws such as the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) among others.

Mark holds a J.D. from Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law and a BBA in Management Information Systems from Loyola College in Maryland.

Prior to his current role, he gained experience as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Argus Information and Advisory Services, and MBNA America.

Mark Furletti has showcased his leadership abilities by serving as the chair of the TCPA Team at Ballard Spahr LLP and as co-chair of the Electronic Financial Services Subcommittee of the American Bar Association's Consumer Financial Services Committee.
