D.A. Horton

D.A. Horton is an accomplished educator, pastor, and ministry leader with a wealth of experience in biblical studies, Christian education, and intercultural studies. He currently serves as the Director of the Intercultural Studies program, and Assistant Professor at California Baptist University, as well as an Associate Teaching Pastor at The Grove Community Church. Horton has been married to his wife Elicia for 17 years and together they have three children.

Horton has an extensive academic background, having studied Applied Theology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, D.Ed.Min. Christian Education at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and both Master and Bachelor of Science degrees in Christian Studies and Biblical Studies respectively, at Calvary Bible College and Theological Seminary.

Throughout his career, Horton has held various roles of leadership in educational, ministerial, and non-profit organizations. He has served as a lead pastor at Reach Fellowship, Executive Director at ReachLife Ministries, and National Coordinator for Urban Student Missions at the North American Missions Board. He has also been a lead teaching elder at Koinonia Bible Church and served as Director of Admissions/Advancement and Adjunct Professor at Calvary Bible College and Theological Seminary.

As Director of Intercultural Studies at California Baptist University, Horton is dedicated to fostering leadership and ministry skills among future Christian leaders. He is well-known for his expertise in biblical studies, Christian education, and intercultural studies, and continues to be a sought-after speaker and author.
