Roy Berg is a highly experienced lawyer with over 28 years of experience in cross-border tax matters, IRS tax controversy, finance, and estate planning. Having been admitted to the bar associations of the U.S. Tax Court, Alberta, California, Washington, and the United States Supreme Court, he has vast knowledge in public accounting, private practice of law. His areas of expertise revolve around Canadian departure planning, pre-immigration planning, foreign account tax compliance among others.

Roy is a member of notable organizations such as the U.S. and Canadian Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), American Bar Association tax section, and the advisory council to the International Tax Program of New York University School of Law. He is also a frequent speaker and writer on IRS tax controversy, estate planning, and cross-border tax issues.

Roy received his BA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley, JD cum laude from New York University School of Law, and LL.M (Taxation) from New York University School of Law.
