Meet Carmen Rojas, a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience working to empower working people and their families through political and economic avenues. Carmen holds a PhD in City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in Politics from UC Santa Cruz. She has an impressive track record, having worked as the CEO of The Workers Lab, the Associate Director of Program Strategies at Living Cities, and the Director of Strategic Grantmaking at Mitchell Kapor Foundation, to name a few.

Currently, Carmen is the President and CEO of Marguerite Casey Foundation, a foundation dedicated to supporting low-income families and communities. Before joining Marguerite Casey Foundation, she founded The Workers Lab, an organization that facilitated unconventional partnerships between issue experts and technology specialists to create innovative solutions for working people. She also served as a Fulbright Scholar, an African American Outmigration Task Force Coordinator at San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, and a faculty member at UC Berkeley.
