Arjun Akwei is a driven individual whose upbringing has inspired a passion for improving social and economic mobility. Raised in Washington D.C. by immigrant parents from Ghana and Malaysia, he became aware of the barriers that minority communities face in terms of success and mobility. Arjun's education includes studies at Harvard University, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, and The American Embassy School in New Delhi. He has served in various capacities related to foreign policy research, analysis, and consulting both at Harvard and on his own. In addition, He was also active in student government and has founded initiatives targeting mental health and civic education. Arjun's talents go beyond policy work, as he has also tutored in mathematics, Chinese, and science, taught debate, and worked in sales.
