R.A. Session is a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive with a wealth of expertise in M&A, licensing, valuation, strategic planning, and pricing. Holding a BSBA in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, an MBA in Strategic Management & Finance and an MSF in Finance from the Texas A&M University-Commerce, and a Fellow (Life Science) degree from the Society of Kauffman Fellows, Session has served in numerous executive leadership positions throughout his career.

Session is the President, CEO & Founder at Taysha Gene Therapies, an entrepreneur in residence at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and previously served as Chief Business Officer for Gene Therapy and Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development at BridgeBio and AveXis, respectively.

Being on the Board of Directors of Sandhill Therapeutics, ReCode Therapeutics, Inc., and Lung Therapeutics, Inc., Session has also served as an advisor to Alcyone Lifesciences, Inc., 4D Molecular Therapeutics, and Celenex Therapeutics. Session has a broad range of expertise, with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, providing him with in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical landscape.
