Ed Gardner
Ed Gardner is a senior-level executive in economic development with a track record of delivering positive results. Over 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors, Ed has led teams that have created more than 7,000 jobs, resulting in over $2 billion in new capital investments. Ed has a Master's in Public Administration from Auburn University and a Bachelor's in Political Science from the University of Central Oklahoma. He also studied Political Science at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
Prior to his current role as Director of Business and Economic Development for Mississippi at Entergy, Ed held positions such as Economic Development Representative at PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, Vice President of Economic Development and Workforce for Birmingham Business Alliance, and Executive Director of St. Clair County Economic Development Council.
Ed is skilled in contract negotiation, deal structuring, project management, incentive negotiations, international recruitment/marketing, industrial park planning, and organizational development.
