Doug Shore is a prominent figure in the business-to-business media industry. He co-founded Shore-Varrone, Inc., a company that produced trade shows, conferences, information services, and business-to-business publications. Under his leadership, the company grew from one publication and trade show to eleven magazine titles, seven trade shows, and various online businesses. After selling the company to Nielsen in 1998, he ventured into media investment and consulting activities. Doug Shore is an advocate of entrepreneurship and has supported scholarship programs at Kennesaw State University and Cornell University.
Doug Shore is a Cornell University alumnus, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. He also studied Organic Chemistry for his Master of Arts degree at Harvard University. He serves as a member of the Entrepreneurship at Cornell Advisory Council and the Advisory Council of Entrepreneurship at Kennesaw State University. He was a former board member of Springs Publishing, and also served in advisory boards for Douglas Publications, Hoyt Publishing Co., and Reporter Newspapers, Inc.
