Amin Zia
Amin Zia is a highly experienced computational biologist/immunologist, machine learning expert, and algorithm design engineer with extensive knowledge of the interplay between statistics, information theory, and molecular biology. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McMaster University and later studied computational biology/immunology at Stanford University. Throughout his career, Amin has worked with a wide range of biotech startups, academic labs, and research institutes where he has honed his expertise in probabilistic signal processing, machine learning, and information theory.
Amin has worked as a co-founder at Stealth and as Computational Immunology at Stanford University School of Medicine. He has also served as Microbial Genomics and Diagnostics at InSilixa, CTC Genomics at Vortex Biosciences, Inc., Postdoctoral Fellow at Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, and Molecular Evolution and Population Genomics at the University of Toronto. In addition to his academic and research work, Amin is also self-trained in lab experiments, molecular assays, and data analysis.
