Simon Schlauri
Simon Schlauri is an accomplished lawyer with vast experience in technology and information law. He holds a professorial thesis in economic and legal aspects of "net neutrality" and teaches private, commercial, and business law at the University of Zurich. With expertise in competition, IP/IT, corporate, consumer, and data protection law, Simon specializes in the regulation of network industries, share economy, IT law, intellectual property law, and legal issues related to electromobility. Throughout his career, Simon has worked as a partner at Ronzani Schlauri Anwälte and served as Legal Lead at Creative Commons Switzerland, Senior Legal Counsel/Regulatory at Sunrise, and Legal Counsel at ricardo Group. He also worked as a visiting scientist at ITM Institut für Informations-, Technologie- und Medienrecht in Münster, an assistant professor for commercial law at the University of Zurich, and a junior lawyer at Homburger. Simon's passion for IT also saw him work as a software developer for hmi AG für Technische Informatik before transitioning to law. Besides his professional practice, Simon was elected as a Grünliberale Party member and currently serves as a cantonal councilor for Districts 3 and 9 in Zurich.
