Uzoma Bailey Ayogu is a mechanical engineer turned entrepreneur who is passionate about industrializing food processing to create shared prosperity across Africa. He is the CTO & Co-founder of Releaf, a Nigerian food processing company that develops low-cost pre-processing machines to increase the quality and availability of raw materials delivered to African food factories. Uzoma founded Releaf along with two other Nigerian-Americans after declining job offers at Bain, Facebook & Microsoft. His leadership and innovation have attracted investments from reputable companies such as Y Combinator.

Uzoma's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University, where he also served on the Board of Trustees for three years. During his time at Duke, Uzoma led engineering impact projects in Brazil & Togo, studied abroad in China, studied cultural studies/critical theory and analysis, carried out drone research on autonomous medical delivery and interned as a systems engineer @ GE Aviation. He also had the honor of serving as class president and delivering his engineering classes degree speech.

In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Uzoma has held various positions in organizations such as Harambeans and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and has participated in the US-China Emerging Leaders Study Delegation at Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Uzoma's expertise lies in mechanical engineering, entrepreneurship, food processing, and product support & design engineering.
