Sarah Chase is a highly accomplished physicist, researcher, and educator with extensive experience across top research institutions and organizations. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MS) in Physics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Physics & Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley. Sarah's passion for physics has taken her to numerous research centers including the UCLA Particle-in-Cell and Kinetic Simulation Software Center where she served as a Graduate Student Researcher, and the UCLA Basic Plasma Science Facility. She has also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Google, Teaching Associate at UCLA Physics & Astronomy Department and Director of First Impressions at Berkeley Hillel. Sarah's ability to apply her analytical mind to complex problems was cultivated early in her undergraduate studies, where she also found time to serve as VP of Programming - Upsilon Chapter at Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity and House President at Berkeley Student Cooperative. Her professional experience and technical proficiency include expertise in Particle- In-Cell and Kinetic Simulation, Plasma Science, and Software Engineering. Her interests also span the areas of physics education and communication, evidenced by her work as a tutor at California Learning Center and Director of First Impressions at Berkeley Hillel.
