Abhijit Navalekar is a highly experienced Senior Staff Engineer at Qualcomm with a focus on research and development of new products while specializing in IP, Cellular/WLAN system design, protocols, digital signal processing, digital communications, RF systems, modem design, performance modeling, system simulations and software development. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Mumbai and his MS and PhD in Wireless Communications at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Navalekar has worked at Parallel Wireless, Airvana, Mirics Semiconductor, and Powerwave Technologies. He is proficient in cellular (3G, 4G, 5G) and WLAN protocols (RRM/L2/L1), digital signal processing (DSP), wireless communications, RF systems, and land mobile radios (LMR). Navalekar is highly skilled in modem design, development, and implementation, including architecture specifications, protocol development, and testing with experience in signal generators, radio test equipment, spectrum analyzers, and network/system-level & DSP algorithm simulations. He is a post-doctoral candidate in robotics from WPI.
