Somalee Banerjee is an accomplished Hospital Medicine physician and Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Health Transformation. She is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician in California, holding an M.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master's in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. With extensive clinical experience in the United States and India, Somalee has a diverse set of skills in health care delivery, research and quality improvement methods. She has worked in rural Malawi to study treatment methods for malnourished children and has experience in conducting GIS mapping and working with STATA. She currently does healthcare delivery research with Kaiser Permanente Division of Research, examining equity in access to care at a large, fully integrated health system.
