As a Thrillist Cities Editor, I was responsible for coverage in 11 of our major metro areas including Chicago, Boston, Washington, DC, Las Vegas, Nashville, and others. I conceived, assigned, edited, and published hundreds of stories running the gamut from new lifestyle features to regular updates of Thrillist's existing library of local coverage in the food/drink, entertainment, and travel beats.I was previously a writer and editor on our National News Team, where I reported, wrote, and edited stories about a wide range of topics—from viral nuggets to oral histories to extensively researched examinations of the greatest mustachioed swordsmen of all time. I also spent time on Thrillist's SEO team, responsible for editing every story on the site for SEO health, coaching vertical leads and teammates on editorially sound best practices for search, and writing news stories we knew readers would be searching for on Google.

Responsible for all editorial content published by The Dot and Line (dotandline.net)—the best journalism website in the world about cartoons and animation. I've edited news, reviews, and expansive feature packages on titles ranging from Cowboy Bebop to Bugs Bunny to Steven Universe to an entire month dedicated to the early days of Nickelodeon. We published several stories that have been named "Editors Picks" by <a href="http://Medium.com">Medium.com</a> and relished the opportunity to let smart writers nerd out, interview artists, and carve out insights about both classic and brand new cartoons. We shuttered the site after more than four energetic years.

Launched an arts and culture website committed to publishing thought-provoking articles from a diverse intersection of perspectives while treating up-and-coming artists and musicians—as well as popular culture at large—with the same degree of gravitas The New Yorker might treat a Broadway play. During Outcryer's run we published exclusive interviews with authors Steve Stern and Allison Green, 4,000-word Game of Thrones theories, in-depth examinations of the show Northern Exposure, and personal pieces starring the Grateful Dead and the Mountain Goats. Our small but scrappy staff called it quits to pursue other opportunities.

I oversaw daily operation and long-term strategy of all of Esquire's social media accounts as well as daily email newsletter curation, assisted with editing coverage across all verticals, edited its homepage and other site modules, wrote news items and edited features for the food blog Eat Like a Man, managed online publication of all of our print content, and implemented all of <a href="http://Esquire.com">Esquire.com</a>'s early paid editorial experiments to date, paving the way for future initiatives like Esquire Classic.Personal highlight: Watching traffic triple in volume during the time I ran the social channels.

I worked with Superfly on the production and upkeep of its festival websites for Bonnaroo, Googamooga, and Outside Lands, building out web pages and editing and published news items. I designed and edited  printable guides and signage for the festivals and coordinated with both creative and talent management to communicate artist lineups, vendor info, and venue details as crisply as possible. For Outside Lands, I worked with developers to perfect the festival's mobile app.

I wrote political news features covering the campaign of Democratic candidate for Onondaga County Legislature Chris Ryan, covering campaign finances, the candidate's background, the issues he stood for and against, and his eventual victory on Election Day as a part of Democracy in Action. In addition to the campaign, I wrote stories covering Syracuse's Common Council, youth unemployment in Syracuse, and voters with disabilities.
