Merve Akbas is a data scientist with a strong background in behavioral economics, a passion for understanding human behavior, and experience building useful products. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University, as well as B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics from Boğaziçi University and Sabanci University, respectively. Merve has worked at respected organizations such as Google, Jet.com, and Aliya Financial Technologies as a Quantitative UX Researcher, Data Scientist, and Behavioral Economist, respectively. She has also held positions at Morningstar, The World Bank, and Dan Ariely's Behavioral Economics Lab as a Behavioral Scientist, Consultant, and Researcher.

As a Quantitative UX Researcher at Google, Merve uses her skills and expertise to develop useful products that meet customer needs. At Jet.com, she honed her skills as a Data Scientist and used data and behavioral insights to optimize business strategies. In her role as a Behavioral Economist at Aliya Financial Technologies, Merve analyzed financial data to develop more effective financial products. As a Behavioral Scientist at Morningstar, she conducted primary and applied research on consumer behavior to help inform business strategies. Merve's strong background in economics and expertise in data science and behavioral economics make her a valuable asset to any team.
