Marie Mourad is an independent consultant and researcher with a PhD in Sociology from Sciences Po. Her work primarily focuses on public policies against food waste and new markets for surplus food in the United States and France. Marie has lent her expertise as a consultant and researcher for public and non-profit organizations such as the French Environmental Agency (ADEME) and Ministry of Agriculture, U.S. Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Sustainable Agriculture Education (SAGE), O2 Artisans Aggregate ("Scraps to feed" project), and Green Mary (Zero Waste events).
Marie's educational background includes a Baccalauréat in Mathématiques from Lycée Jean Monnet, followed by Classe préparatoire ECS at Lycée Louis-le-Grand, a Master's degree in Alternative Management with honors from HEC Paris, and ultimately her PhD in Sociology from Sciences Po.
Through her work with various organizations, Marie has gained expertise in topics such as food waste, sustainability, and public policy. With a passion for creating more eco-friendly solutions, she focuses on improving our relationship with the environment to create a brighter future.
