Tanja Bekhuis is a highly accomplished psychologist and information scientist with extensive expertise in library and information sciences, health and social sciences, medical and dental informatics, literature review methods, knowledge representation, information retrieval, information extraction, natural language processing, text mining, research methods, mixed methods, qualitative research, quantitative research, scholarly communication, innovation, writing, editing, indexing, human rights, music, and art. She is the CEO and founder of TCB Research & Indexing LLC and TCB Classics, through which she offers publication support services for scholars, develops indexes for academic books and technical reports, and analyzes the content of documents using various language technologies. Dr. Bekhuis also teaches at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she was previously Assistant Professor (primary appointment), and has served as an adjunct faculty member at other institutions. She holds a PhD in Quantitative Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as an MS in Educational Research and an MLIS in Biomedical Information from the University of Miami and the University of Pittsburgh School of Information Sciences, respectively. She is also a distinguished member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP), and has won numerous awards for her research and publications.
