Cecilia Adams, an accomplished educator and Diversity thought leader, is committed to a holistic approach towards advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within organizations. With a Master's degree from Capella University and Lehigh University, she has over 15 years of experience in Strategic Diversity positions, specializing in the development of programs and services to increase representation of diversity across all levels, including front line workers and leadership. With sound business acumen, a visionary approach and effective communication skills, she spearheads efforts in Recruitment, Retention, Training, Supplier Diversity, and Community Relations.
Stanton Adams is also known for her entrepreneurial flair, serving as CEO of The Diversity Institute. Moreover, she has taken up leadership roles in academic as well as non-profit organizations, including Academic Dean/ Diversity Sponsor at Rasmussen College, and Dean of Students and Special Assistant to the President on Diversity at Metropolitan State University. Furthermore, she has also contributed as the Director of Faculty Diversity & Engagement at Capella University and Assistant Dean of Multicultural Affairs at Lehigh University.
As a thought leader, she has contributed to research in psychology, sociology, adult education, and student affairs.
