Techstars Startup Weekend events are 54-hour events designed to provide superior entrepreneurship education for people with diverse skills. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, the event culminates in Sunday night presentations. As facilitator, I've flown to destinations across Europe getting a deep dive into their ecosystem over 54 hours while building relationships as I went. Previous locations included Oostende, Prague, Malta, Budapest, Brussels, koblenz, and Luxembourg.

Following on from foundations we lay in our spaces through workbench and startlab, I created a role that scaled that work to the wider west region, remaining relevant as we moved.

Innovation Community Manager - West Region

This was the bank's first tech incubator and so the role involved everything from building maintenance, to marketing, and programme development, to writing the job spec for the role, doing it, and then creating an FTE.

Startlab Programme Manager

I get to know the landscape of a region, and devise & implement strategies that fit needs. I manage spaces like the workbench, the bank's first incubator startlab, events, and developing sponsorships and partnerships. We created, iterated on three programmes (Founder Friday, Startlab Go (Pre-accelerator) and  Office Hours) that scaled nationally. I take part in panels and public talks. I learn new and random things as I work with new companies in all industries. I love my work.

I work on a number of formal insolvency and restructuring assignments including, Receiverships (both trading and fixed charge), Creditors Voluntary Liquidations and Members’ Voluntary Liquidations. Developed a keen interest in how business works through analysis of failure of Companies.

It’s clients include Harvard Business School and the European Space Agency. •	I looked after technical support for our international clients. This involved becoming proficient in navigating the server, database, MySQL & management systems like <a href="http://Desk.com">Desk.com</a>. •	I created and managed the blog, writing and promoting content and working with guest authors. •	I was responsible for keeping accounts including regulatory requirements and management accounts including cash flow projections. •	I became versatile and was able to adapt in order to suit the business needs.

I began with completing bank reconciliations in my first week and have progressed to just having completed my first trading administration and the end of my sixth month.Key points during this time were•	Handling 5 bankruptcy cases, 1 Receivership, and a trading administration.•	Sitting in on confidential client meetings.•	Gathering information in the due diligence process.•	Working from the office of a company in trading administration in order to monitor trade and communicate with staff.•	Liaising with debtors & creditors in both corporate and personal insolvencies.•	Key link person in the administration process of a company with a £3,000,000 turn over and 50 employees.•	Collected 1.3m cash in 3 months on one project.•	Identified fraud in a trading receivership.
