Manfred van der Voort is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the field of IT. He has worked in various senior roles such as IT consultant, project leader, and infrastructure architect for different industries. He is known for his result-oriented, creative and quality-driven approach to work that has helped him execute various projects successfully. Along with his extensive ICT background, he is also passionate about 3D design, rapid prototyping, digital fabrication, and IoT.

Van der Voort started his career in 1988 working for various ICT organizations. In 2005, he became a self-employed consultant and project leader. In 2010, he founded his own internet business concept for 3D visualization called micrOcost/ICR3ATE. He is the co-founder, CTO at ICR3ATE, and Product Design & Development using 3D Printing/Digital Fabrication at micrOcost. Additionally, he has worked as a Coördinator ICT at Gezondheidscentrum Asielzoekers, Architect/Projectleider ICT & Informatisering at Permar, and Manager ICT at Christelijk Lyceum Veenendaal.

Van der Voort has studied Electronicus at MTS, Ede, and BaE at Hogeschool van Utrecht. In December 2015, he began working for MakersLab in Ede and launched his startup, ICR3ATE-Digital Makers Lab. It is a high-tech workshop where professionals can design and create their own smart, connected products and services. He is also an Ambassador IoT at The Things Network and Hackster.io, a Product Evangelist at Udoo.org, and a Lab Coach at MakersLab Ede.
